Evade
This is a simple hat pattern that allows you to escape reality for a little bit of time.
Pick up US 9 needles to create the wide brim then transition to US 10.5 needles for the body of the hat. The brim is created in a rib pattern and the body of the hat is stockinette stitch. The hat pattern comes in three sizes. The hat shown fits my 22” size head (size medium).
Quarry is a gorgeous yarn from Brooklyn Tweed. If substituting a yarn, pick a bulky weight with at least 175 yards.
I had the pleasure to visit The Mermaid’s Purl in North Kingstown, RI for the yarn and pompom. The LYS is filled with gorgeous yarn, pompoms and needles = knitters paradise.
I hope you enjoy making this hat. Stay healthy, happy and safe.
