This bag has been my first introduction to mochila crochet. It was a wonderfull journey of discovery!

The size of my bag is 26 cm long, 14 cm wide and 22,5 cm high.

Mochila crochet has the following characteristics:
• You only work single crochets in the back loop, so that the stitches are straight above each other.
• The stitches are very close together (7-8 stitches at 2cm), you use a relatively thin crochet hook. For this bag I used a 2mm crochet hook.
• You work over at least 3 threads (the carry threads). In this pattern I use a total of 6 colors and so I have 5 carry threads.
• You crochet in a spiral. That means you always finish the round 1 row higher than you start it. This produces a jog in the pattern. You can simply accept this, but luckily there are also ways to hide the jog so that it is not immediately noticeable.

Yarn
For this bag I used Hobbii Rainbow 8/4 cotton with a length of 170 meters per 50 grams (2 skeins per color), in the colors: Navy Blue, Jeans Blue, Light Jeans Blue, Brown, Grey Brown and Light Brown.

Deze tas is voor mij de eerste kennismaking met mochila-haakwerk geweest. Ik vond het een ontdekkingsreis.

De afmeting van mijn tas is 26 cm lang, 14 cm breed en 22,5 cm hoog.

Mochila haakwerk heeft de volgende kenmerken:
• Je haakt alleen vasten in de achterste lus, waardoor de steken mooi boven elkaar staan.
• De steken staan héél dicht op elkaar (7-8 steken op 2cm), je gebruikt een in verhouding dunne haaknaald. Voor deze tas heb ik een 2mm haaknaald gebruikt.
• Je haakt over tenminste 3 draden (deze worden de meeloopdaden genoemd). In dit patroon gebruik ik in totaal 6 kleuren en haak dus altijd over 5 draden heen.
• Je haakt in spiraal. Dat betekent dat je de toer altijd 1 rij hoger eindigt dan je het begint. Dit levert een verspringing op in het patroon. Deze kun je klakkeloos accepteren, maar gelukkig zijn er ook manieren om de verspringing enigzins te verstoppen zodat het niet meteen opvalt.

Ik heb voor deze tas Hobbii Rainbow 8/4 cotton gebruikt met een lengte van 170 meter per 50gram (2 bollen van elke kleur), in de kleuren: Navy Blue, Jeans Blue, Light Jeans Blue, Brown, Grey Brown and Light Brown.
