Evensong is a mystery pattern for Rosewood Yarn Shop’s 2025 yarn mini of the month club. Each month, a new mini skein (80 yards) will be available, along with a new section of the pattern.

Mini Skeins and pattern clues will be available on the 10th of the month, January-December, 2025, Eastern US time zone.

This pattern will include multiple stitch patterns and construction techniques. Each month’s section will use only that month’s yarn - no colorwork.

Needles needed: US 5 (3.75 mm) - or size needed to obtain gauge - in SPN (single point needles) or circular to be used for flat knitting, plus needles to work small diameter tubes (DPNs, 2 circs or magic loop).

Gauge is not critical - it’s a shawl. But knitters who work loosely may want to go down a needle size from the suggested size so as not to run out of yarn before they run out of clue.

Other notions: stitch markers, including one distinct marker; cable needle; yarn needle for weaving in ends; locking stitch markers to use as stitch holders; blocking supplies; optional: scrap yarn to use for lifelines
