This hat goes with the Eventyr sweater pattern that you can find in the Knit With Attitude 10th Anniversary book. It uses thick and lovely Hillesvåg Blåne. A chunky weight pelt wool yarn which is both shiny, woolly and warm.

25 m contrast colour #2104

Could be substituted with any Aran to chunky weight yarn. You will get the best results if you use a non-superwash woollen spun sheep wool yarn. Alternatives: Hillesvåg Vidde or Varde, Istex Lettlopi or Alafosslopi, Rauma Vams.

Needles
Gauge-size needles for stockinette and stranded colourwork, 1 mm below-gauge circular needles for ribbed hat brim
The sample was made using 6.5 mm (US 10 1/2) and 5.5 mm (US 9).
