Ever-Changing Blanket
Made with soft organic cotton, this colourful blanket is a joy to make. The rhythmic up and down of the rows feels calming to crochet, while the bands of colour provide the motivation to keep going.
The Ever-Changing Blanket is a twist to the Calm Chevron Blanket with each colour band using (almost) the full skein.
Ideal for mastering crocheted increases and decreases and introduces crocheting through the back loop.
The rows are broken down into repeats which makes this blanket easy to make. Instead of counting stitches for the entire row, we focus on doing 1 repeat at a time.
The colour joins are crisp, with the first row of the new colour partly hidden behind the previous row.
This pattern includes the Calm Chevron Blanket pattern pdf with the Ever-Changing Blanket pdf add-on.
To make the Ever-Changing Blanket: use the Little Snuggles Size (middle size) of the included Calm Chevron Blanket pattern with the following adjustments:
- 8 colour bands – dark green, dark blue, light blue, light pink, dark pink, orange, dark brown, light brown
- stitches in each row: 309 (14 stitch repeats)
- 160 rows: first colour 19 rows, middle colours 20 rows, last colour 21 rows
