Hi! I’m a self-taught knitter and don’t know all the official cable pattern names and stitch abbreviations. I just love to knit! I get LOTS of requests for my patterns so my daughter and I translated my patterns into a format that is simple for people to read, and clearly explained. If you know K (knit), P (purl) and cn (cable needle), you’ll be able to do this pattern!

This blanket made an appearance on my YouTube channel with LOTS of pattern requests. One of the commenters called it the Everest of knitting, which I thought was 1) very sweet and 2) a great name for the blanket pattern.

So, here you go!

I used double strand knitting. All you need to do is to take 2 strands of yarn, align them and use them as one strand when you knit. You’ll end up with a chunkier blanket.

This blanket incorporates 4 cable patterns.
