Everett's Toddler Mittens
Project Description: Sweet and warm, these cute, double cuffed mittens will keep your toddler’s hands toasty and stylish this winter! Knit from the double cuffed hem to the top of the mitten without seams. The cuff is long enough to keep baby’s wrists covered and the detachable I-cord prevents losing a pair of cozy mittens!
Size and Finished Measurements: As written, these instructions produce mittens to fit a one-two year old with a 1.25 inch (3.2 cm) double cuff. Suggested modifications for adjusting the length are included.
Materials and Equipment:
Yarn: Dk weight yarn approximately 60 yards. Shown in Knit Picks City Tweed DK, color: Larkspur, 55% Merino Wool, 25% Superfine Alpaca, 20% Donegal Tweed 123 yds/50 g. Plastic snaps.
Needles: US Size 4 (3.5 mm) and 5 (3.75 mm) DPNs or 2 circular needles, 3 stitch markers, darning needle, piece of waste yarn, crochet hook if making a detachable mitten keeper cord.
These are a super quick and super cute knitting project! The detachable mitten keeper cord is so appreciated by busy moms!
