Evergreen Hooded Cowl
Have you ever gone through all your handmade items and you still can’t find that one thing that would be perfect? For me this winter it was a hooded cowl. Sure, I have beanies, hats, scarves, and cowls galore (don’t we all?). But I was missing something easy to wear that kept my neck warm with the option of keeping my head covered without having to store one or the other while I was out adventuring.
Our Evergreen Hooded Cowl is made from 2 skeins of Monica bulky weight yarn. The cowl is knitted first, with a single crochet edge to make picking up the stitches for the hood extra easy. The cowl is knit with a knit 1 stitch below pattern, giving it the look and squish of brioche, but with the simplicity of a knit one purl one pattern. It’s finished off with a furry pompom and two large buttons, just for some extra fun.
CROCHET - Single crochet is used to finished the sides of the cowl.
