Everly means ‘with courage’. The larger version of the Everly Tote Bag was the first pattern that I ever shared with the world and that took some courage on my part. Fast forward a few years later and now the pattern is available in a couple of sizes! It is with joy that I present to you the medium sized version - the Everly Tote Bag Midi!

This is a lovely mid sized bag with a relaxed drape reminiscent of the drape found in a classic french market bag. Desire more ‘structure’ to your bag? Consider adding a lining! A link to do so is included in the pattern!

Favorite yarn choices: Bernat Handicrafter, Scheepjes Cahlista, Lily Sugar’n Cream.

Completed Size is approx. 13” wide x 12.25” tag excluding straps.

My preference is to use a stiffer worsted weight cotton yarn (or worsted yarn that is not very soft or stretchy). 2 different hook sizes will be used - the exact hook sizes you use will depend on your own tension. I used a 5mm and 6mm.

Skill Level: Advanced beginner to intermediate.

Stitches used: sc, hdc, dc, ch, & sl st.

The base of the bag is worked in continuous rounds. The bag is built from the bottom up.
