November 27:
I have finally published the updated pattern with the suggested made by the test knitters now in the PDF.

Thanks to test knitters:
Dulseigh, JaimeLouise, KNITnGLO and MartianKnit for the feedback.

March/April ish:

This pattern is currently being test knit. It should be ready in about 5-6 weeks. Of course, you could download now and provide feedback if you find any issues.

These entrelac handwarmers are worked in the round from the cuff to the fingers. They start with a small rib, and then entrelac are worked circularly.

I find that a thumb helps to make the handwarmers more comfortable, but if your preference is for a minimal or no thumb you can pick up the stitches and then immediately cast off. The instructions have you pick up 24 stitches for the thumb. If you are not a tight knitting, (K2Tog, P1, K1, P2tog, K1, P1) 3 times, to get down to 18 stitches and then rib for the rest of thumb.

One of the test knitters used two colours … amazing results! The thumb would be worked in the same colour as the row in which it falls.

One suggestion that was made is to have a longer cuff. This is easily accomplished by ribbing for the desired length before starting the handwarmer.

The orange and green pair does not have a garter stitch cuff. Martina was wearing a sweater with garter cuffs while modeling the handwarmers she made. We didn’t realize until after the photo shoot that thy blend together!
