I gave this pattern lots of thinking before I started it! I wanted to make the perfect go-to sweater for summer, the perfect sweater for many occasions. The sweater that I would bring out of the cupboard with a smile, whether I needed it for the beach, an evening at the outdoor terrasse or the chilled-out offices in the city. I wanted it to be feminine with a bit of see-through, not clinging to the skin… So many thoughts - and here is the results:)

ConstructionThe sweater is worked top down and is completely seamless. The first section of the upper part is worked flat. When all increases for the neckline of the front are worked you continue in the round to underarms. Work is separated abd the sleeves and the lower body are worked separately in the round to bind off. Sts are picked up along the neckline to work a narrow edge. The beautiful eyelet pattern of the raglan increases and the lace pattern of the central front and lower part of the sleeves embellishes the sweater:))

Sizes 10 sizes to choose from:
Bust circumference of finished garment after washing and blocking: 87/90/93/97/102/105/108/112/115/120cm = 34/35.5/37/38/40/41.5/43/44/45.5/47.5”.
The sample is worked with 5cm/2” of positive ease.

Materials Yarn; the sample is worked in ”Kalinka” from Karin Öberg. This 100% linen comes in skeins of 100gr/3.53oz and 320m/350yards. You will need 3/3/3/4/4/4/4/4/5/5 skeins of this specific yarn.
Needles: a circular needle 3mm/US2.5 for the upper and lower body. Dpns (or a circular needle if working the magic loop) 3mm/US2.5 for the sleeves. Needle size is a suggestion only - you need to determine the gauge.
Notions: removable stitch-markers, separate holders, blocking tools.

Gauge 24 sts and 32 rows in stockinette sts = 10x10cm/4x4”.

The pattern
The pattern comes with written instructions (round-by-round) for the lace patterns as well as charts. All measurements are given in cm’s as well as inches. All necessary stitch-counts are given.
There is a schematic.

Knitting skills Basic knitting skills needed: casting on, binding off, working simple increases and decreases. Placing and slipping markers. Following a chart and/or written instructions for the repetetive lace-patterns. Abbreviations used are k, p,, yo, k2tog, ssk, m1l, m1r. There are no difficult sts involved. The pattern would suit an adventurous beginner as well as an experienced knitter looking for a relaxed knit with some interest.
