A crochet pattern for everyday bags.

Start with a base of single crochet rounds at the bottom, change to the “Bike Chain” pattern stitch for the body of the bag, and complete with several rounds of single crochet at the top to match the bottom. Add a crocheted button and a strap, also in single crochet. This is such a basic, wear-everywhere bag you will want to make one in several colors; solid colors for sophistication, multi-colors or stripes just for fun.

Size: Approximately 10 1/2” wide and 8” in depth.
Skill level: Intermediate.
Materials: “Everyday” (a worsted weight or size 4 yarn) from Premier Yarns.
Tools: Crochet hooks, U.S. sizes H and I.
