Everyone needs mittens! When the weather turns cooler everyone needs something to keep their hands warm, and these quick-knit mittens are just the thing!

The pattern is ideal as an introduction to cabling or as a quick project for more experienced knitters.

The pattern is written in five sizes:
Todder - to fit hand 10-12cm
Child - to fit hand 12-14cm
Teen (small adult) - to fit hand 14-16cm
Women - to fit hand 16-18 cm
Men - to fit hand 18-20 cm
Hand is measured around, just above the thumb.

Yarn requirements:
Approx 85 (120, 140, 170, 230) m / 90 (130, 150, 185, 250) yds of double knitting yarn

Other supplies:
3¼mm (UK10, US3) dpns, set of four
4mm (UK8, US6) dpns, set of four
Cable needle or spare dpn
Note: you can work most of the mitten using circular needles and the magic loop method if you prefer, but you will need dpns for shaping the top and for the thumbs due to the small number of stitches.
Stitch markers x 3, in 2 different colours
Waste yarn
Tapestry needle

Techniques used:
Knit and purl
Simple cable

Knitting in the round
Kitchener stitch or three-needle bind off recommended but not essential
