This pattern is intended for intermediate crocheters that are comfortable with colour changes and handling multiple colours of yarn in tapestry. The pattern involves making 5 individual pieces and 2 straps which are then sewn or crocheted together. The only stitch used is the half double crochet. The resultant tote bag measures approximately 11 x 12 x 1.5 inches (length x height x width) when using DROPS Paris cotton yarn, however is completely customizable.

You will need:
-a 4mm crochet hook
-tapestry needle
-150g of aran weight yarn in a background color
-100g of aran weight yarn in beige
-50g of aran weight yarn in brown
-50g of aran weight yarn in black
-scrap yarn for “everything bagel” seeds (optional)

You can use any size or type of yarn. Please use a hook 0.5mm to 1mm smaller than the recommended size on the yarn tag. - Bulkier yarn will result in a larger bag. Cotton is recommended to acrylic for this project as it will hold better.
