This wintery placemat can be made with one main (background) color or three to create a colorful seasonal place setting. The placemat is created with join-as-you-go interlocking filet crochet snowflake motifs and can be easily extended to make a table runner as well.

This placemat is one of eight patterns included in the Everything Snowflakes Set. The remaining seven patterns are: afghan, hot pad, mug rug, cowl, scarf, ornament/gift pouch and pendant necklace.

This pattern provides both row-by-row written instructions as well as a design chart for reference.

Since this pattern contains many diagonals to create the design, it is recommended for someone who is comfortable with the interlocking filet mesh technique.
