The Evey socks were initially designed as I was watching V for Vendetta. They are elegant and not too demanding to knit.

Feel free to share you knits with the hashtag #eveysocks or to tag me @beecharly on Instagram so I can keep up with you.

Yarn requirements
You will need 1 skein (100g - 400m/438y) of fingering weight yarn. You may use less depending on the length of the foot. Sample shown in ‘Leaning forwards on hi trolley he broke into a heavy run’ on Soft Sock by A Homespun House.

Construction notes
The Evey socks are worked cuff-down, with a heel flap and gusset. They are not too tall above the ankle and have an easy lace pattern around the leg. The lace pattern is charted. The pattern is written for the magic loop method but if you are familiar with sock knitting you can easily knit them on DPNs.
Sample shown knit in US 1 needles (2.25mm).
