This pattern is an 8 round repeat pattern. Once you have the stitch for that round you just keep going. The repeat can be a straight one for one repeat after round 10 or as I’ve written for a progressive repeat where the first set of repeats you crochet 2 of each round, then the next repeat you crochet 3 of each round and os on although you can personalise this as you want. It is open to so much variation.
There are photos to help you over tricky bits and tips on managing your pattern. I am not a great stitch counter and I avoid frogging if there is another way of achieving what I want and I pass these hints on to you so that if your stitch count is not exact instead of frogging a complete round or 2 rounds you just add a few stitches or skip over or crochet 2 together to ge the stitch count down. What matters to me is the look and feel of the item.
This pattern is suitable for the ambitious beginner; there are quite a few stitches in it but none are complicated.
It can be made to any size you wish, you can stop whenever you please.
The way I work is to write a pattern long hand while I am designing, then type it up, then make it from that typed pattern to see if the instructions are correct and I achieve the same outcome on a second go. I then offer it for free hoping that if there are any glitches people will tell me and I can correct the odd mistake or typo. So far no one has told me of any errors in my patterns. So that’s the way I work, I am far too impatient to use testers and take in notes about what works etc. This is not a professional pattern but I do aim for it to be error free at the point of publishing.
I do hope you enjoy making this and adding your own touch to it.
