Use waistcoat stitches to make a soft, flexible, and drapey ear warmer/headband.
The ear warmer pattern is the easiest of all of Evie’s items. So, a good thing to try first.
Sizes. Adult S, M & L. Child sizes can be made with lighter yarn and a smaller hook. - or maybe your child can use a size small.
Pattern. The pattern (US terms) includes techniques explained with tips and photos.
Fully written. A chart is added for an overview if you like that.
Seamless. Worked in rounds. Based on a stitch pattern ‘Little Flames’ which adds a nice texture to the items.
Hook. A relatively large hook is required. 8mm (US L/11, UK 0)
Preferably the hook has a small head and pointed nose or lip.
Yarn. Half a yarn ball of Scheepjes Merino Soft (Brush) or similar yarn with the same yardage and some kind of built-in stretchiness.
