Especially Turks believe jealousy is at the root of the power of the evil eye, whether in the form of a malicious or admirable look. Therefore almost every Turkish person has one to carry around with them or display in their home even though they think it is just a superstition. So here is a very easy and free crochet evil eye square pattern for you to use in your projects. By the way, it is called Nazar Boncugu in Turkish.
