Materials:

• H size/5.00mm crochet hook
• Yarn (medium weight 4) Gray, black and red. I used Caron One Pound soft grey mix color for the majority of the hat (I needed about half the skein). You will need only small amounts of red and black.
• yarn needle for straight stitches and attaching pieces
• computer printer to print side support pattern
• thin cardboard to trace support pattern on (like a cereal box).

Crochet stitches used and abbreviations:
MR - magic ring. (Youtube has many videos on how to do a magic ring if you
are unfamiliar)
Ch - chain
St - stitch
Sts - stitches
sc - single crochet
sctog - single crochet together (decrease)
Sl st - slip stitch
Hdc - half double crochet
Dc – double crochet
Tc – triple crochet

Embroidery stitches for details:

• Straight stitch for mouth and ear.
• whip stitch to attach pieces
