EW Dishcloth
Whether you are a fan of the show this saying has been so humorously used in or, you just want a sentiment to describe either the sink full of dirty dishes that awaits or to sum up the state of 2020, this “EW” Dishcloth covers it all.
The “EW” Dishcloth is knitted with one 80yd skein of Bernat Handicrafter Cotton (or an equivalent substitute) using US6 (4.0mm) knitting needles. It shouldn’t require more than 60yds of yarn. The dishcloth, as designed, will create a dishcloth that measures approximately 9” wide and 8” tall when matching a stitch gauge of 9 stiches x 15 Rows (purl stitches for each row) = 2” x 2”. You can easily move up or down in needle size to adjust sizing as required.
As a tip, it would be helpful to use a stitch counter while knitting up the dishcloth to keep track of your rows.
The pattern is made up of mostly purl stitches and uses a combination of knit and purl stitches to make the lettered motif of the pattern. An easy slip technique is applied to the edges of the pattern to create “clean” side edges for the dishcloth.
Thank you for your interest in this pattern, I hope you enjoy working with it.
