Excavation Cowl (Crochet)
Crochet your way through each section to dig up a perfectly prehistoric cowl! With bite sized skulls, dinosaurs, and natural
motifs, you’ll fly through this pattern at the speed of a Quetzalcoatlus!
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Hook
US size G (4.25mm) crochet hook, or size needed to obtain listed gauge
Yarn & Yardage (Standard Size)
242 grams (approximately 560 yards / 512 m) of DK weight yarn in 2+ colors. Divide total yardage by number of colors being used to come to approximate length for each individual color.
Add an additional 25% if making the Expanded Size
(If you would like a drapier fabric, are having a hard time meeting gauge, or would like to make the Expanded Size at a shorter height, consider utilizing sport weight or fingering weight yarn instead!)

Tapestry needle
2 locking stitch marker
Scissors
