Excursion
Summer is here and we’re all on the move! We love to get out and about, to visit family and friends, celebrate the holidays and take those long overdue, relaxing vacations. It’s also a great time to knit or crochet. I know you will always have at least one project within reach, probably more, no matter how you travel.
As you plan your next excursion, why not take this sweet little cowl pattern along? It’s very portable and packable. It’s close and warm, but not too hot, and deep enough to envelope you in a cloud of scrumptiousness. The cowl pictured was knit with one skein of Urth Yarns, Kashmir Mono, hand dye, luxury fingering weight yarn, and was incredibly pleasurable to knit! You will love every minute of it! I have written two versions of this pattern for your knitting joy. One is a moebius with a special cast on, and the other is a simple knit in the round cowl. I hope you enjoy them both.
Join me for Version #1, the moebius excursion, which creates a one-edged, single-sided cowl. How? Read on and travel along the curious path of the knit moebius. Or, if you prefer, knit the moebius at another time, and journey into the second knitting excursion. Simply cast on with your preferred relaxed method and start knitting Version #2. Have fun! Have safe and happy travels!
Thank you to Jeneen for modeling!
The cowl is 10 1/2” deep x 24” in circumference. The gauge is 4 1/2 sts./in.
