I use my crochet exercise armband every day to hold my phone when I go for a walk! It’s also great for running and cycling as well. There is an optional small pocket to hold a house key or two if you like. Make it as a gift for the exercise junkie in your life ( if not you ) and the best thing is that you can personalise it with stripes, checks, embroidery or colors to reflect personal preferences.
Basic sewing skills are essential to complete this project, the finishing seams MUST be sewn by a sewing machine.
The stretchy crochet armband is secured with velcro ( hook and loop fastener ) and a waste plastic screen is sewn in to make it waterproof as well.
The armband is crocheted in single crochet only with a few slip stitches, but the unique design makes it very functional and look just like the exercise armbands you can purchase.
It’s a modern and streamlined look and I spent a lot of time making a detailed video which takes you through the pattern step by step in addition to the written pattern which has many photos.
This pattern is written in US crochet terms
