The song of this name has earwormed me on quite a few occasions, eventually becoming the inspiration for this pattern. I figured if it was going to be stuck in my head, I may as well end up with a pair of socks!

The “Ex and Oh” cable pattern is worked down the leg and then travels across the instep to the other side of the foot. There are two heel flap options - a patterned flap or a slipped-stitch flap There is a left and a right sock - work one of each to make a mirrored pair.

This pattern pulls in a bit - especially across the instep, so consider going up in stitch count from what you usually use for socks and/or working a longer-than-usual heel flap
