The Expanding Circles pattern is 25% off with the code Rilke2 until 7th February SAST.

Please note: Price includes both the hat and the cowl.

The second in a series of designs inspired by the poetry of Rilke, and the price includes the patterns for both the hat and the cowl.

This hat and cowl set are inspired by the following extract:
“I live my life in widening circles that reach out across the world.”
― Rainer Maria Rilke, Rilke’s Book of Hours

For these pieces I wanted to encapsulate the notion of these ever expanding widening circles along with the essence of light that he encapsulates in his work.
For the hat I decided to work the circles in a colour gradient that starts with the lightest tone and gets darker as you move away from the brim towards the crown. Whereas for the cowl, I decided to use a rainbow to encapsulate the notion of a widening circle, beginning with the cooler colours and moving to the warm bright colours of the sun.

All the pieces inspired by the work of Rilke are opportunities to play with colour and were designed as a way for you to express yourself and make the item truly your own.

The cowl features two charts, one with 2 colours and one with 8 (as depicted in the sample) and the hat features three different crown options, short, medium and tall - for the perfect fit. The hat pattern also features 6 extra colour charts at the end of the pattern for additional colour inspiration.
