Experimental Cowl
This project is a perfect stash buster. Multiple strands of yarn are held together to create a one-of-a-kind yarn. The centre cabled panel is worked first. Stitches are then picked up along each side of the panel to form the body of the cowl (long side) and the button-hole tab (short side).
Pattern is 5 pages.

Skill Level: Advanced Beginner
Yarn: 136 yards/124.36 meters of super bulky weight yarn that knits up to 1.875 sts/inch.
For the sample cowl shown, 4 strands of yarn were held together:
- 2 strands of Cascade Yarns ‘Eco +’, (478 yards/437 meters; 100% wool; 8.82 oz/250 grams per skein). 1 skein in Lake Chelan Heather.
- 1 strand of Classic Elite Yarns ‘Giselle’, (225 yards/206 meters; 66% mohair, 23% wool, 11% nylon; 1.76 oz/50 grams per skein). 1 skein in 4109 Moroccan Teal.
- 1 strand of HiKoo ‘simplinatural’, (183 yards/167 meters; 40% baby alpaca, 40% merino, 20% mulberry silk; 3.53 oz/100 grams per skein). 1 skein in 10 Deep Turquoise.
