The Express Shawl is a triangular shawl knitted from side to side with written and charted instructions (includes an adaptation of section 3 in case you decide to knit it with only one color). It combines two contrast colors used in the opposite way on each half of the shawl. The body of the shawl has a stockinette stitch base with slipped stitches motifs and lace border in contrasting color. It is a simple and fast but very colorful shawl, ideal for knitting without thinking too much and having immediate satisfaction.

In this shawl several techniques are used: it is knitted from side to side, with increases to the widest section of the shawl and then symmetrical decreases to those until returning to the initial number of stitches. Two colors are used that cross behind the work with the Intrarsia technique. Remember to cross the strands of the CA and the CB with each other, through the back of the work, in each row.

The lace section is perfect for beginner adventurous knitters who want to make the jump to the lace and for those who have an intermediate or advanced level and want to enjoy knitting lace without too much complication. I wish you enjoy knitting it as much as I do. Happy knitting!

One size. Finished measurements (aprox.): 68,11” (173cm) long and 15,75” (40cm) wide (after blocking).

MATERIALS
Yarn: 2 skeins of MERINO DK by Feliz y Punto (100% Merino superwash 246yds 225m / 100g). Approx. 492yds (450m) of DK weight yarn. The sample was made using colors FUCHS and BRUMA.
Needles: US8/5mm (or the needle size you need to obtain gauge). circular or straight.
Other: Stitch marker, tapestry needle, blocking pins or wires.

ESPAÑOL

El Express Shawl es un chal de triangular que se teje de lado a lado con instrucciones escritas y por gráfico que incluyen una adaptación de la sección 3 por si decides tejerlo en un solo color. Combina dos colores de contraste usados de manera opuesta en cada mitad del chal. El cuerpo del chal tiene una base de punto jersey con motivos de puntos deslizados y un borde calado en color de contraste. Es un chal sencillo y rápido pero muy vistoso, ideal para tejer sin pensar demasiado y tener satisfacción inmediata.

En este chal se usan varias técnicas: se teje de lado a lado, con aumentos hasta la sección más ancha del chal y luego disminuciones simétricas a éstos hasta volver al número de puntos inicial. Se usan dos colores que se cruzan por detrás de la labor con la técnica de Intrarsia. Hay que recordar cruzar las hebras del CA y del CB entre sí, por la parte de atrás de la labor, en cada pasada.

La sección de calado es perfecta para tejedoras/es principiantes aventureras/os que quieran dar el salto a los calados y para aquellas/os que tengan un nivel intermedio o avanzado y quieran disfrutar tejiendo un calado sin demasiada complicación.
