Exquisite Flower Bonnet
For newborn size / For 0-3m size / For 3-6m size / For 6-12m size / For 12-24m size
this is not an easy beginner knitting pattern. you have to be quite confident in your knitting :)
Gauge 4 in / 10cm – 21 stitch
This pattern works best if the yarn you choose is smooth, with great stitch definition, in a solid color. The flower pattern itself is quite “busy” and it looks best when all is knit in one solid color.
You will need a skein of DK or Sport weight yarn and the needles to obtain the gauge.
PLEASE NOTE: There really is no recommended needle size. You just have to make sure you get the right gauge (you will need to make a swatch and probably you will have to try several different knitting needle sizes).
Since this bonnet is knit flat, you can use any knitting needles you like. I prefer using ether long circulars, or long straight “afghan” knitting needles.
Also you will need two stitch markers (optional), a scrap yarn or a stitch holder, a darning needle to weave in ends.
