The Extend Me Cardigan is a children’s cardigan that is made to be easily extendable. It covers sizes between 1 - 10 years. This way you and your child can enjoy it much longer. Ideally it would fit a kid for up to 4 sizes ranging from an oversized fit at first to a more narrow fit as the child grows older and the cardigan is extended.

It’s a basic cardigan knitted top to bottom with a rib placket, raglan sleeves, and a small pocket on the right side knitted in double knit with italian bind off. It can be knitted in uni or two colours.

In the measurement chart you may notice that the chest circumference is the same for some of the sizes, for example the chest circumference is the same for size 5y and 6y. If you have a short 6-year-old, you probably want to knit a size 5 and the same way, if you have a tall 5-year-old you will want to knit size 6.
