I originally designed this hat pattern for my own use and to coordinate with the “Beribboned Eyelets” sweater by Rowena Hill. Other knitters have requested the directions for the hat so I’ve decided to add the PDF to my pattern page to make sharing easier.

As these were originally just my own notes I apologize for the incomplete nature of the pattern (no suggested yarn or gauge and an unprofessional pattern picture), but please keep in mind that this is a FREE pattern and not representative of my usual pattern writing standards.

For a general guideline on yarn and needle size I suggest you refer to the “Beribboned Eyelets” pattern by Rowena Hill and start with worsted weight yarn and US 7 - 4.5mm needles as she suggests for the sweater. You can alter the hat size by using smaller or larger needles or by adding or subtracting stitches from the cast on in increments of 8.
