This is an advanced beginner friendly/easy intermediate knitting pattern that includes 5 sizes: 0-6 months, 6-12 months, 12-24 months, 2-5 years and 5+ (up to teen!).

gauge: 16st in 4inches (10cm).

You will need Aran weight yarn and knitting needles in the right size to obtain gauge (5-5.5mm work for most), and a tapestry needle or crochet hook to weave in the yarn ends, and also the same tapestry needle to graft stitches at the back of the bonnet.
you will need up to 50g for the smallest sizes and up to 100g for the largest sizes.

the hat is knit flat.
