Eyelet Stripe Hoodie
The Eyelet Stripe Hoodie is a new favorite in my wardrobe! I was looking for the perfect hoodie to wear all summer long! I was originally inspired by the dress I am wearing in this photo, picturing myself wearing it with a cute hoodie on an evening walk on the beach on a cool summer evening. I didn’t have anything to match, so I figured: why not design one myself? It mimics the loose and cropped fit of one of my favorite sweatshirts.
The project is started using a provisional cast on at the neckline, allowing you to come back and pick up those stitches at the end to construct the hood.
The pattern is worked top-down flat for a few inches, until it is joined in the round to allow a faux v-neck shape that helps to build in the hood. From there, it is worked in the round, then is separated for the sleeves and body, and worked in the round separately for the body and each sleeve. Finally, you work the hood flat. Each edge is finished off with an i-cord bind-off and an applied i-cord edge to the hood to give it polished edges. And boom, that’s the Eyelet Stripe Hoodie!
9 SIZES AVAILABLE: XS, S, M, L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL
The model pictured in the photo above is wearing size XS and is 5’4” (162.4cm) and has a bust size of 30” (76 cm) in circumference.
HOW TO CHOOSE YOUR SIZE:
Find your bust measurements below. Positive ease is built into the pattern, meaning final measurements are 10-12” on top of that number. The sweatshirt is designed to fit very loosely like your average hoodie. If you prefer less ease, it is recommended to size down.
To accurately choose your size, please refer to the notes section at the end of the pattern (page 20) where you will find a sizing chart and instructions to best help you select a size to knit. There is also a brief note for how to add length and make modifications.
