Eyelet Stripe Shawl
This is a fingering-weight triangle shawl, worked from the top down. Eyelet lace stripes are worked in even intervals down the length of the shawl. The lace pattern on the right side of the shawl mirrors the pattern on the left. For a simple finish, several rows of garter stitch are worked at the end of the shawl.
Finished gauge (when blocked): 22 stitches x 35 rows per 4 inch square
Finished size: 62” wingspan, 31” from center back to tip
Yarn: 850 yards of fingering weight yarn
Needle size: US 6 (4.0mm) circular
Modifications: The shawl could easily be made smaller by omitting the last lace stripe or be made larger by increasing the number of rows worked at the end of the pattern. Keep in mind, increasing the number of rows would also increase the yardage requirements.
