Designed to use as close to one skein of Diamond Luxury Collection Llama Silk yarn as possible, this simple hat and cowl set feature an easy faux cable pattern that is not much more than fancy ribbing. The hat is worked in the round from the bottom up, with a short rolled brim and a simple garter stitch crown. The cowl is worked flat and seamed.

TIP: my second set used a little more than 1 skein, due to looser gauge. I recommend making the hat first, then all but the last full chart repeat on the cowl. Put a lifeline in before working the last repeat, so you can always rip back to it if you run out of yarn.

Materials:

  • Diamond Luxury Collection Llama Silk (Bulky) yarn, 1 skein (134 yards)
  • size US 10 (6.00mm) circular needles – I used 33” long, and Magic Loop
  • end-of-round marker
  • yarn needle

Stitches & Techniques:
K (knit), P (purl), Ktbl (knit through back loop), Ptbl (purl through back loop), YO (yarn over), K2tog (knit 2 sts together), P2tog (purl 2 sts together)
