This scarf is knit on the bias. From point to point it measures about 70” long. It is 58” along one edge and 8.5” wide. Two strands of sock weight merino yarn were held together . It was knit with five gradient shades of gray in order to get an ombre effect. It could be knit in one color.

Be sure to check gauge. Sock weight yarn is sometimes described as fingering and sometimes as sport. To adjust for yarn weight you can add or subtract 17 stitches when casting on.
