This pattern was inspired by Teresa Murphy’s, Wrist Yarn Holder.

I added eyelets and a hole in the bottom which allows you to easily double strand with a single center pull ball.

Simply place your ball of yarn in the holder upside down, with the center pull going through the hole. Then use the outside yarn through the top opening. This usually prevents your yarn from twisting around itself when double stranding.
