Eyelets Brio Shawl
This design has a long story. At first it was supposed to be a rather simple triangular shawl with garter sections and a few rows of eyelets as decoration. Then a knitter friend suggested to me to add some “movement” to the end of the shawl, so I decided to add more eyelets of different types and sizes until I got the final version of the shawl.
This shawl has an asymmetric triangular shape and is worked from one tip to the opposite edge by increasing one stitch every two rows. It features relaxing garter sections and different kinds of eyelets that keep the knitting fun and interesting until the end where the shawl opens up with the big jumbo eyelets.
It’s not as hard to work as it looks but still impressive and the worsted weight yarn makes the knitting fast. A video tutorial shows some steps of the instructions.
