The Story

I was inspired by the bold colors of Candy Skein’s yarn so I decided to keep the design simple and let the colorway be the star. Simple lace work in the form of eyelets lets the yarn shine rather than focusing on intricate stitches.

By the time you’re done, you’ll have lots and lots of eyelets… EyeLOTS!

Recommended Yarns

  • Main Color Yarn: 375 yds - Candy Skein Yummy Fingering (fingering weight; 75% merino wool, 25% nylon superwash; 465 yds/100g per skein): 1 skein Frozen Berries

  • Counter Color Yarn : 115 yds - Knit Picks Stroll Fingering (fingering weight; 75% superwash merino wool, 25% nylon; 231 yds/50g per skein): 1 skein Ash

Notes

This shawl is constructed in a traditional triangle method, worked flat, written in the order of construction. Written instructions and charts are provided for all sections following the setup.

This shawl best fits a 40” circular needle however the user may substitute longer or shorter needles for comfort.

Although gauge is not critical for this project, a looser gauge than noted will result in the use of more yardage.
