This is another free pattern that is perfect for scrapyarn. The prototypes have been knitted i 3 different gauges 30/10 cm - 22/10 cm - 16/10 cm. But any gauge can fit if you adjust the stitch amount. I have written down lengths to fit the three sizes, but it can easily be knitted by measure.

The pattern includes instructions for the bowtie and how to knit a necklace/ribbon. I have mentioned the measures I have used, but I recommend knitting it by measure. The length can be adjusted by moving the button.

The small bowtie uses 6 g of fingering weight merino.
The middle size uses 15 g DK merino for the bowtie and 8 g for the ribbon.
The largest uses 21 g for the bowtie and 7 g for the necklace/ribbon. 14 g of the bowtie is DK weight woolmix and 7 g is lace weight alpaca.

Any yarn can be used. My examples are for guidance. The length can be adjusted to fit the width as you knit. You can test fold it at any place as you work.

This bowtie can be used to decorate anything really. Use it on other garments, on a purse, in your hair, a part of a festive outfit for your pet, child, your partner or yourself.
