Yarn: 480g of Hedgehog Fibres Sock Yarn Minis (90% Merino wool, 10% nylon, 20g/80m) in a variety of colours or scraps. Yarn held double throughout the project.

The shawl pictured uses 24 Hedgehog Fibres Minis, the colours pictured are all 24 colours featured in Hedgehog Fibres 2024 Advent Calendar in the order of opening.

Needle: US6 / 4 mm needles, circular with a long cable would be beneficial due to the large number of stitches towards the end of the project. The scarf is knitted flat. The gauge is not hugely important for this garment.

Gauge: Gauge achieved in knitted sample was 19 sts to 10cm/ 4 inches in Ripple 1 stitch pattern after blocking lightly by washing and laying flat to dry.
