Fabulous Freddie the Pharaoh's Mummy
Freddie is a stylish, fun-loving frog who likes to dress up. This is Freddie as a mummy, but not any old mummy, oh no, he is a pharaoh’s mummy with a crown and all. The crown is based on one of the most important Egyptian crowns, the Pschent or the double crown. This mummy has had an active afterlife, he has lost an eye and his bandages are coming undone. But he has not lost his love of life and chasing museum security guards.
The pattern has been tested by independent testers. The pdf will be available for download immediately after purchase. The pattern is written in English and uses US terminology. It also includes photographs to demonstrate special techniques and the assembly of different parts, as well as links to video tutorials.
SKILL LEVEL
The pattern requires familiarity with the basic amigurumi stitches and is thus suitable for advanced beginners or intermediate crocheters.
YARN
This pattern was made using a fine cotton yarn (yarn weight 2). It is possible to make Freddie using a different yarn weight, just be aware that this will affect the estimates for the amount of yarn, the final size of the toy, the size of safety eyes as well as the size of hook needed.
The main body needs around 77 yds / 70 m of yarn. Need around 27 yds / 25 m of white and around 16 yds / 15 m of red and light brown. And a small amount of yellow.
OTHER SUPPLIES NEEDED
For the pattern a US 2 (2,5 mm) sized crochet hook was used. You will also need one safety eye: 0,5 inch / 12 mm or larger, a sewing needle, scissors, fiber fill and stitch markers. For the snake you will need a small length of thin wire (0.3 mm gauge).
SIZE
Freddie without the crown is 3.15 inch/8 cm high.
