I needed this in my life and couldn’t find a pattern so designed one based on pictures I found.
It is started at the head then continuing in the round to the end of the tail. The air sacs and legs are picked up along the sides.
If you choose to add pipe cleaners to the legs it’s easiest if you start when first picking up stitches for each leg. Push the pipe cleaners into the body and create a hook around a stitch or two; this keeps them attached to the body. While it is a pain to knit around them I highly the pipe cleaners. It looks so much cooler when it can stand up on it’s own!
