Faceted Fingerless Mittens
Fingerless mittens made using loose gauge and slanted stitches stretch to form to the wearer’s hand; works up in a few hours and uses less than 1 skein of yarn.
Sample 1 is made with lace-weight mohair/nylon blend.
Sample 2 is made with 1 strand #10 cotton crochet thread held together with 1 strand metallic sewing thread.
Sizing
Small: Fits up to 7.5 in/19 cm hand circumference; 10 in/25 cm length
Large: Fits up to 9 in/23 cm hand circumference; 10 in/25 cm length
Materials
130-155 yds/125-147 m lace weight or #10 thread
Size B hook or size needed to obtain gauge
Size 13 or smaller darning needle
Scissors or thread snips
Gauge
In Pattern: 24 st and 8 rows = 3.75 in/9.5 cm
Stitches
