Pattern Description from Interweave Knits, Spring 2010: “Nancy Bush modifies a traditional Estonian lace pattern called ‘Lily of the Valley and Stones’ for the ground of the Facing Lilies Stole. Graphic eyelet ‘stones’ - diamonds created with chained decreases and yarnovers - alternate with ‘lilies,’ yarnovers forced into a graceful curve by the adjacent lines of decreases. Traditional nupps - one-row bobbles - form flower buds along the yarnover line.”
