Faded Cables is made with Ancient Arts new yarn, Lascaux, which is a lovely worsted weight blend of 75% Wool - Puntas Arenas, 25% Wool - Manx Loaghtan. A combination of Old World and New World! This yarn has excellent body and spring with a wonderful “crunch factor” that you need to feel to believe! This shawl is a perfect accessory for sitting by the campfire in the summer or for wrapping yourself up for warmth and comfort as the weather gets cooler in fall.

Materials 3 skeins of Lascaux from Ancient Arts (or approx 650 yards of worsted weight yarn) Please note that gauge is critical to yardage quantities. If you do not knit to gauge you will need an extra skein. when in doubt, I would highly recommend purchasing an extra skein.

On Sunday June 3, there was a volcanic eruption in Guatemala. It was the most deadly since 1902 and the death toll is expected to rise. Furthermore, there are over 3,000 people that have been evacuated and over 1.7million people affected.
All proceeds from the sale of this pattern will be donated to help those affected.
