This hat is an adult version of my Five Rings Beanie (which is a child size hat). The garter stitch “rings” decrease in size as you knit the hat from bottom to top, adding a little extra interest.

The completed sample hat knit using Deborah Norville’s Everyday Soft Worsted measures 21” around the bottom band, and 9.5” from top to bottom without any stretching or blocking. The hat is soft and stretchy.
