Faerie Wings
Crochet the whimsical wings you’ve always wished for! This crochet pattern has been designed specifically to repurpose the frame from children’s costume wings, commonly found at dollar stores, for easy access to a frame without a lot of wire work. With a bit of reshaping and some creative crochet, use the color palette of your choice to bring your faerie fantasy to life! This pattern is perfect for costumes, cosplays, or just a bit of everyday whimsy.
This pattern includes instructions to crochet 4 wing panels to fit within a pre-made butterfly wing frame (measuring approximately 16”x16”), and includes instructions for a small body piece, and elastic or ribbon straps. It is of easy difficulty and comes with over 40 progress photos.
Prior knowledge of crochet techniques is required to complete this project (including standing stitches). This pattern requires a size g (4.25mm) crochet hook and fine weight yarn, preferably cotton. This pattern calls for 5 colors and requires 55-75 yards of each color.
