Faeries
Faeries is the latest beautiful blanket design from Dragons Flight Designs. Another reversible blanket with the image visible on both sides resulting in a stunning blanket that is also thick and cosy, so perfect for winter.
Dragons, crochet and excel spreadsheets are some of my favourite things so I love to bring them together to design blanket patterns and then crochet them. Sometimes pictures other than dragons appear too.
I hope you enjoy making this blanket as much as I did and I would love to see your versions.
Difficulty level is medium if completing the reversible pattern.
A single side blanket can be made by ignoring the S and O symbols reducing the difficulty of the blanket to easy-medium
Total weight of lap blanket 1250g
White yarn = 600g, Hummingbird yarn = 650g
• Normal mosaic rules apply - 1 line completed at a time with no turning,
• Start in bottom right hand corner working each row from right to left and from the bottom of the pattern up to top.
• Blank squares = single crochet stitch (sc), X in squares = double crochet stitch (dc), S in squares = double crochet stitch (dc) to front and back, O in square = double crochet stitch (dc) to back
• Work sc stitch into backloop of stitch below, work dc stitch into frontloop of stitch 2 below.
• Suggested colour changes on right& left hand side of chart or you can use any colour combination you wish.
• The border is your choice, on photos above I have single crocheted round the whole blanket. Other times I have left the tails showing on the left and right side, separate the threads in the tails to give it a different look.
