This pattern is really something to get your teeth into, combining a faggoted rib with the shaping required for the crown of the beret. It’s for more experienced knitters, but isn’t overly complex, and we’ve kept it on straight needles to simplify the faggoting.

We’ve used Drops Love You 8 Aran weight cotton, in Mint, but any aran weight yarn will do. You’ll need 100g.

You’ll also need one pair each of 4.5mm and 5mm knitting needles.

This is a great little pattern to while away a few hours.
